TNT KaTropa made easy work of the Blackwater Elite, cruising to a 115-97 victory in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Riding import Terrence Jones’ another explosive performance, the KaTropa thus improved to 9-1, assuring themselves of a twice-to-beat incentive in the quarterfinals.

The KaTropa turned a tight contest in the opening quarter into a one-sided affair come the second period, holding a 60-43 advantage at the half that they never relinquished.

Jones was a force once again, delivering another triple-double of 36 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists, plus three blocks, while five TNT locals ended up in double figures as well.

Troy Rosario had 14 points and five rebounds for TNT. Jayson Castro had 13 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds, and two steals, while Roger Pogoy and Brian Heruela provided 12 markers apiece and combined for 11 rebounds.Don Trollano tallied 11.

Ray Parks had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists to lead Blackwater, who have fallen to 6-4. Mike DiGregorio had 19 points and five rebounds. Import Staphon Blair had 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Allein Maliksi made 16 points and six boards. Mac Belo flirted with a double-double with 10 markers and nine boards in a lost cause.
