TNT KaTropa got off to a searing start and mauled the San Miguel Beermen, 110-97, on Saturday night in their 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup encounter at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
From the get-go, the KaTropa put up a near-perfect game, zooming to a 30-10 start and never looked back to nail their second straight win and improve to 4-1, gaining a share of second spot with NorthPort in the team standings.

Troy Rosario contributed 17 points while Roger Pogoy, Don Trollano, and Anthony Semerad flourished as well in the KaTropa’s balanced attack, ending up with at least 11 points each. Jayson Castro went a point shy from getting another triple-double as he had an all-around game of nine points, 10 boards, and 15 assists.
The result thus spoiled a historic night for Von Pessumal, who paced the Beermen with 24 points after going perfect from beyond the arc on an 8-of-8 shooting.
Charles Rhodes had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Marcio Lassiter and June Mar Fajardo chipped in 16 and 13 points, respectively, as San Miguel dropped to 0-2.
