San Miguel Beermen used a searing offense to dismantle the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters, 114-91, in the Game Four of the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay Tuesday night.
Suffering a close 92-90 decision in Game Three, the four-time defending champions bounced back with a strong performance this time to get back on track and get away with the blowout win.
With the victory, the Beermen thus moved on verge of another finals appearance as they took a commanding 3-1 advantage in the best-of-seven showdown.
Terrence Romeo, who fired game-high 20 points on 6-of-10 clip from beyond the arc to go with four rebounds and four assists, led the third-quarter breakaway for SMB, dropping 17 points in the quarter where they held an 89-63 lead that went as huge as 30 points.
Alex Cabagnot delivered the goods as well for the Beermen and finished with 18 points. Arwind Santos provided a near double-double showing with 16 points and eight boards, while Chris Ross and Von Pessumal chipped in 10 markers each.
On the other side, Calvin Abueva was the only player who tallied in double digits for the Fuel Masters, scoring 19 points and racking up 15 rebounds with two steals and two blocks that went down the drain.
Game Five of the series is on Thursday, April 25, still at the Cuneta Astrodome.
