Rain or Shine Elasto Painters completed a escape act in overtime as it finally got back at the Columbian Dyip, 88-86, in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Sunday at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum.

Facing a Dyip side that has beaten them four straight times in the past, the Elasto Painters got a big lift from Denzel Bowles, while Rey Nambatac delivered in the clutch to end the skid.

As a result, Rain or Shine bounced back from a stinging loss at the hands of NorthPort in a game where they squandered 25 points. The win also gave ROS an improved 3-3 win-loss card.

Bowles completed a triple-double of 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Nambatac added 10 points including a go-ahead lay-up with 2.6 left in overtime session to put the game away.

Lester Prosper had 26 points and 15 rebounds, while Rashawn McCarthy had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Dyip, who fell to 1-6.
