San Miguel Beermen continued to build momentum after a disastrous start as it escaped past the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 89-87, in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Saturday at Xavier University Gym, Cagayan de Oro City.
As a result, the Beermen picked up their third straight win to formally enter the playoffs as they upped their record to 5-5. Already assured of a spot in the quarterfinals, Rain or Shine, meanwhile, ended the eliminations with a 5-6 record.

His three-pointer with 1:38 left gave the Beermen an 87-82 lead before a slam by Fajardo, who produced 24 markers, 15 boards, three blocks, and an assist, stretched it to a seven-point spread for the team.
