NLEX Road Warriors bucked the ejection of coach Yeng Guiao in the second quarter as it hammered the Alaska Aces, 91-70, in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup at the Big Dome Wednesday evening.
Without their head coach, the Road Warriors still managed to come out strong for a masterful win that snapped their two-game losing slide, improving their record to 3-5.
JR Quiñahan and Bong Galanza collected 14 points apiece to lead the Road Warriors, while Jansen Rios had 10 markers. Poy Erram flirted with a double-double of nine points and 12 rebounds in 30 minutes of play as a starter.
Absorbing their second straight blowout loss, the Aces, on the other hand dropped to 3-4 as they stared at a deficit as many as 28 points and never recovered.
Jeron Teng led all scorers with 23 points, while Davon Potts was the only other Alaska player in double-digit scoring with 13 points on top of four rebounds, and two assists.
