Magnolia Hotshots got back on the winning side after cruising past the Alaska Aces, 103-86, in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo Saturday night.

Sustaining a loss at the hands of the Phoenix Fuel Masters in a game where they led by as much as 17 points, the Hotshots took out its frustration on hapless Alaska to come out victorious.

The Hotshots thus improved to 2-4, while the Aces dropped to 3-3 and shared the fifth spot with the Barangay Ginebra in the team standings.

Ian Sangalang spearheaded Magnolia’s offense with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Paul Lee fired 20 and eight boards, while Mark Barroca added 19 markers. Rodney Brondial and Jio Jalalon had 12 points apiece.

Chris Banchero led Alaska with 26 points on top of five rebounds and four assists. Jeron Teng chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Chris Exciminiano made 13 points.
