Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas put away the Shabab Al Ahli-Dubai early for a 92-57 victory in the classification round of the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup at the Chenzhou Sports Complex in Chenzhou, China on Friday night.

With the win, the Philippines has a chance to settle for fifth place when it wins its last assignment versus Mono Vampire of Thailand on Saturday, September 30, at 12:15 p.m.

Kiefer Ravena topscored for Chooks-To-Go with 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting, coupled with six boards in just 20 minutes of play. Almond Vosotros contributed 14 markers, while LA Revilla had a perfect game, finishing with 12 points on 5-of-5 from the field.

Wanting to avenge their quarterfinal loss against China Kashgar, the Filipino ballers stepped on the gas pedal early, venting their frustration on hapless UAE squad to come up with a 42-26 halftime advantage, led by Ravena 12-point eruption.

The Philippines took full control of the match from then on, even stretching its lead to 35 points, 82-47, in the fourth period, as the Shabab Al Ahli-Dubai showed no signs of resistance with its 7-man rotation.

Save for Jeron Teng who sprained his ankle in the first half, the rest of the team scored two points apiece in the one-sided affair, with Jeric Teng and Isaiah Austin also tallying in double figures of 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Qais Omar Alshabebi almost single-handedly carried his team on his shoulders, as he punched game-high 28 markers and 13 boards in a lost cause.

The scores:

PHILIPPINES 92 – Ravena 20, Vosotros 14, Revilla 12, Jeri. Teng 11, Austin 10, Tamsi 8, Cruz 7, Jose 6, Manuel 2, Torres 2, Jero. Teng 0.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES 57 – Alshabebi 28, Juma 9, Salem 8, Ashoor 6, Al Abdulla 4, Balabed 2, Alblooshi 0.
